2. So that we can get to know you a little, you might include things such as interests, hobbies, family members, pets or other aspects of your life that capture what is important to you.
I run and own a meditation retreat in a most beautiful part of the world.  This was given to me in a vision about 15 yrs ago – I was told where to build it and what it would look like – at the time, I had no idea where the place was or what a labyrinth was, so it was a mystery to me, especially since my husband’s business had just folded and we were wiped out financially.  However, Spirit had other ideas and it has since come to fruition.  It has very strong vortex’s of energy, in the labyrinth, meditation hall and creation circle, (the latter built by an aboriginal elder).  I have 3 adult children, 4.5 grandchildren, and I’m separated from my husband after 42 yrs of being together.  I’m an identical twin, so I’ve known 1:1 commitment very strongly.  My spiritual pathway is the most important aspect of my life, I have been shown what needs to be done and I’m prepared to do whatever it takes.

 

 

3. How long have you been on a consciousness journey?
Consciously about 27 years now, when I was blessed to have my psychic gifts awakened and that led me into the alternative healing field where I commenced to work with others.  But prior to that, I had done a lot of preparatory work (unbeknownst to me at the time) in the field of self development, teaching and training, so it was a good background of interests to take with me into the metaphysical world of healing.

 

 

4. What caused your primary awakening?
I was doing a wonderful job of messing up my life, I had affairs (searching for my father) and the pain of that coincided with doing Reiki, (hands on healing) – this catapulted my psychic awareness and I could then easily see other lifetimes, read energy fields, etc etc – I cried for days when this happened as I was frightened and did not know what to do with this gift – then realized it had to be used for the “good of the whole”, so took a deep breath and jumped into the “abyss” and starting working with others.    Many, many years later and $000,000’s later, traveling around the world, working with many gifted teachers it culminated in having a healing centre, with my twin sister – who specialized in the physical body and I mainly dealt with the emotiona/spiritual bodies. Between us, we covered a lot of areas.  We both taught a lot of different modalities to many people.  5 years ago she married a Texan and I moved up here to Jamieson Sanctuary.

 

 

5. Are there many people in your area, city, country who share and support a similar interest?   Please share about the general climate concerning metaphysics or free-thinking spirituality.
Jamieson Sanctuary sits in a valley and the original vision showed me that once the energy was created here, it was draw many people to it.  This is now happening, and I’m in awe at whom the Universe brings here.  So the people that come to the Sanctuary itself are all into metaphysics or spirituality – I do not attract any other sort of clientele at this stage – many “healers” find themselves here and are so pleased to have a “safe” place (energetically speaking) that they can relax in – but it also attracts people who are just starting off on their journey. I know a very wide circle of people in this field, and have a large client base, so approx. 90% of my friends etc all talk this language.

 

 

6. Have you had any events or experiences that were particularly meaningful or challenging for you?  (Sharing might help to encourage and inspire others.)

Yes, many – as I mentioned earlier, having a series of affairs was a big catalyst for me to understand why I was causing myself and my family so much pain – I’ve had many cancer scares and kidney conditions arise, been wiped out financially after having been “successful” in the material world, my marriage break up (my call, but one of the most difficult decisions of my life), one of my children is an ‘indigo” type and the challenge of bringing him up and watching him do very dangerous drugs, taught me about fear and trust/surrender.  I am currently in a situation where yet again, I could lose everything and be redirected by Spirit and need to walk away and start again – trusting in the process of Spirit guiding me each step of the way.  There’s no other pathway to walk, in my opinion.

 

 

 

7. Are there any books that you would particularly encourage others to read?
Yes, currently, I particularly like A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle – and Home with God by Neale Donald Walsch – not for the way the latter is written, but for the metaphors that are given – I think it does an excellent job of describing different realities in a way people can understand.  With regards to DVD’s, I was also thrilled to have “What the Bleep” come out as it mandatory viewing at the retreat if people haven’t seen it – again, it does a wonderful job of explaining energy to people who are new to this world.  I have been inspired by many books over the years, but after a while, you stop reading as the truth is the truth, and can only be said so many ways.

 

 

 

8. What are your favorite parts of the online experience at Children of Light – and how has the site helped you specifically?
I enjoy Gabriel’s monthly weather report and reading the chat line – it helps to guage a tone of what the site is all about – I admire you for doing what you’re doing, helping to educate people and help people to feel aligned with a higher purpose, instead of lonely and isolated.

 

 

 

9. Are there things that you feel you need that might be met or enhanced by other Children of Light members?
Not that I can think of right now – I live over the other side of the world, so a gathering of like minded souls is difficult – I guess because I live where I do and work as I do, I consistently have “like minded souls” come to share in the wonderful energy of this place – so I never feel alone either physically or spiritually.  But my case is unusual.
